Autism Adventures

We have recently run a four week programme for parents. The sessions were run by Autism Adventures. During the sessions, parents developed a greater understanding of autism, developed strategies to support children with autism,  made resources to support children at home and lots more. Thank you to the parents who came along to the sessions.

Parent Workshops

Over the last couple of months, we have put on a number of parent workshops. They have included: SEND, Behaviour support, Phonics Training, Autism Awareness, Reading support and Maths support. We have provided information, shared practical activities and provided support leaflets and visuals to use at home. We are looking forward to running some new workshops during the summer term.

Pony Therapy

We are currently using a Pony Therapy service to support some of our children. Pony Therapy allows children to learn to follow direction, communicate with others, create a bond to support social skills and support emotional needs. The children really enjoy the sessions and to love to spend time with Magic.

Mindfulness

This year, we have adapted our timetable to ensure we have a 10minute mindfulness session each day. This might include: Peer Massage, meditation, fine motor skills and other activities. The session allows us to concentrate on our own body, thinking about our emotions, ensuring we are relaxed and controlling our breathing. Here are a few examples below.
